We brought our friends with us to have a nice outing by the river and good food. The setting is remarkable! Today ice chunks flowed swiftly down the river and glistened in the bright sunshine. Freighters is a great facility. Our appetizers were great! Try the deep fried pickles sometime. Our entrees were underwhelming with cold broccoli. The steak was not tender. The salmon was overcooked. The grilled fish came out cool and had to be sent back. The potatoes were recycled. While appeasement was attempted with free dessert and no charge for our drinks, it still made for a disappointing experience. What's up there?

Food was delicious, staff was very attentive. I went for dinner one night and breakfast every morning while staying at the attached hotel (DoubleTree). I ordered the Lumberjack burger with a side of Mac n Cheese. Both were fantastic. The maple flavor on the burger stood out. Even the fries were amazing; I almost forgot to eat everything else.

Food was great. The service however was trash. Our waitress never once asked us how things were during our meal; considering we had an issue with one of our entrees, would've been nice to have a little more service. We had to ask another waiter for drink refills, twice. And it took her about 15 minutes, when we were clearly done eating, to ask us if we needed any boxes and if we were ready for the check. The restaurant was not that busy at the time either. However, that was only one waitress. The others seemed to do their job sufficiently.
